Jason in Action

Jason brought home a photo of himself from work a couple of days ago. Although Jason talks about what he does at work it's still not always easy for me to imagine him in action. Maybe he can revise this blog and tell us what he's doing here =).


Here are a couple of photos of Anna playing in the leaves over the weekend. You see, we really do have a fall here in Northern California =). Anna also made a new friend ... Mr. Ladybug.




We all went out for frozen yogurt on Tuesday evening. I can't remember the last time we were all together on an outing!

Benji's favorite was Daddy's vanilla and chocolate swirl. Anna was sitting on my lap and after she mixed ours together we had vanilla, pumpkin & chocolate frozen yogurt topped with caramel, gummy bears and whipped cream!

Hello, Hello, Hello!

Hello everyone! Jason and I have had a busy week. I worked long hours on Sunday and Tuesday and Jason seems to be doing nothing besides working lately. Hopefully we'll find some family time to spend together soon. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here so it would be great to take a day trip somewhere if we can. Here are few new things going on with us:

Jason interviewed at both Stanford and UC Davis this month for a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy/ minimally invasive surgery. Doesn't he look nice dressed up in his suit? He'll find out at the end of next month where he matches.



Anna seems to be loving school more and more. When I picked her up from school today and Wednesday she wasn't ready to come home because she was too busy playing with her friends! It's so much fun watching little preschoolers socialize.




Ben is saying "mama" now! Okay, so he probably doesn't say mama intentionally but it's still fun to hear him say it. Anna didn't say "mama" until she was two so I was a bit surprised to hear it from Ben so early. I love it!

Ben is quite the eater! It seems like if he's awake he wants food! Baby food doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. The other night Anna and I were eating lasagna and Ben went crazy! I gave him some and he actually did well with it.

Anna the Baker

Anna and I made snack for her preschool yesterday. We made banana muffins with a light cream cheese frosting. I think this was the most serious Anna has been about baking. She had her little spoon and mixed the batter intently!

Anna was very proud to share her muffins with her classmates and her teachers reported the muffins were a hit =)

After I was finished with muffin duty I changed my clothes and jumped in my limo with Devona and my mom =). We went to the Celine Dion concert last night which was actually a Christmas present to my mom last year. My dad was so sweet and had a limo take us there in style!

Fall is Finally Here!

It was only 46 degrees this morning when we left for the zoo at 9:30 AM. We think it felt especially cold since it was in the 90's last week! I had to go search for a jacket I had packed away for Benji since I still have mostly summer clothes for him inside the house. We had the zoo to ourselves because most Californians think 46 degrees is too cold to be outside =). Anna was excited to see most of the animals at the zoo but I think she may have been equally excited when she saw ducks at a pond when we were driving there!

First Trip to the Dentist

Anna had her first trip to the dentist yesterday! Unfortunately I forgot my camera and wasn't able to take photos of the cool things in the dentist's office. We went to a pediatric dentist so there were a bunch of neat things for kids like giant toothbrushes and monkeys with huge teeth for the kiddos to practice flossing and brushing on. Anna was very excited to show the dentist her teeth. He gave her a Dora toothbrush and she picked a blue watch out of the treasure chest so it was all fun and games for Anna. All of her teeth checked out good!





To celebrate no plaque on Anna's teeth she indulged in a clown ice cream cone =). Shhh ... don't tell the dentist!

Benji's New Tricks

Benji is now starting to sit up on his own pretty well and is also scooting all around the house. I bet he'll be crawling in a month! If you look behind Ben you'll see Anna laying there with a binky. We've only been letting Anna have her binky at nighttime in an effort to wean her from it ... so I thought! I didn't notice she had it in until I looked at this photo =).

Halloween Preview
