Hello from the Rasmussen Family: August 2009

Hello all! It's been awhile since we've been online! Our hard drive crashed and we lost EVERYTHING! We are probably the only people in the universe who didn't have a second hard drive to back our important files on to and so it was probably inevitable that our hard drive would crash! Well, we learned our lesson! Someday we will recover our old drive because it was loaded with all of our valuable family photos =( .

August has been a busy and exciting month for us. I took the kids and my niece Maddie to visit Jason's parents in Minneapolis. The trips always seem too short and fly by so fast. Jason's sister Heidi met us in Minneapolis from Madison with her two little girls Emma and Gwen. Anna is still talking about Emma and Gwen -- they had so much fun together! While we were in Minnesota Jason was in Chicago taking a review course for the general surgery board examination. The day after returning from Chicago Jason took the test and we are waiting for the results with our fingers crossed.

Jason was offered an interview for a bariatric surgery position in Lexington, Kentucky. We are all flying out in mid September to check it out. We've both heard great things about the area and are excited about the trip.

Other than those things we are enjoying the cooler mornings and evenings in Northern California. This may be our last year here so we are taking everything in!
