Jason interviewed at both Stanford and UC Davis this month for a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy/ minimally invasive surgery. Doesn't he look nice dressed up in his suit? He'll find out at the end of next month where he matches.

Anna seems to be loving school more and more. When I picked her up from school today and Wednesday she wasn't ready to come home because she was too busy playing with her friends! It's so much fun watching little preschoolers socialize.

Ben is saying "mama" now! Okay, so he probably doesn't say mama intentionally but it's still fun to hear him say it. Anna didn't say "mama" until she was two so I was a bit surprised to hear it from Ben so early. I love it!
Ben with Grandma Lana

Ben is quite the eater! It seems like if he's awake he wants food! Baby food doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. The other night Anna and I were eating lasagna and Ben went crazy! I gave him some and he actually did well with it.
Ben's first piece of lasagna. He looks so serious =).

Ben has a great teacher!

Oh that frown! I could take some lessons from Anna too!
Good luck on the placements!
(I almost wrote placemats! That was a whole different post!)
Hi from Minnesota!
You are doing a wonderful job on the Blog, Janelle. You are one busy mom. If you are looking for a snack idea, I used to make apple "lips" and the kids loved them.
Take 2 apple wedges and dip them in pineapple juice to keep from browning. Let the juice dry and them put peanut butter on one side of each of the apple wedges. Next take mini marshmallows and lay them along the edge of one of the pieces. Put the other peanut butter ed slice on top and you have a smile with teeth. They look so cute on a tray together.
Keep up the great work on the Blog. I love being in the loop. You're a great mom!!!
Love, Aunt Diane
